I need to admit this, other than boiling spaghetti and broccoli and then heating up the pasta sauce for lunch, I haven’t really cooked in my life. But my colleague Edwin has been reassuring that it’s very easy to cook with Happy Call pan and since it’s Mother’s Day soon, that gave me the courage to try cooking my mother’s favourite dish – Steak done medium rare!

So here it goes:

*Feel a great sense of excitement. Can’t  wait to see how the steaks will turn out!

Adorn the apron!

Step1 : Marinate and wait !

The key to good tasty food that I’ve learnt from recipes and cooking is to marinate meats well! Got to marinate the beef steaks with pepper and sauce for at least 3 hours prior to cooking.

Step2: Into the pan!

Oil the Happy Call Pan with yummy butter. Then place the marinated beef steaks in the pan, simply close the lid and let it cook for 2 mins. Yes 2 mins is enough for medium rare

Step3: Flip it..!

Remember to flip the steak during the 2 mins to ensure even cooking on both sides. If you want it to be more cooked, a.k.a to achieve medium, simply increase cooking time to 4mins.

Final Step: Dig in!

Garnished your juicy steak and thrill your guests to no end!

At first glance, this sounds like a pretty good deal. Karaoke usually doesn’t come so cheap right? Initially we wanted  to do an objective comparison with Party World’s standard rates, but we did not manage to find them on their website. So let us analyze this deal based on our own criteria:

1. Day & time of usage

For us, the most important factor in purchasing this deal is the day & time that this deal can be used. According to the T&Cs, this deal can be used from Sunday to Friday, between 2pm to 6pm.

If you work on weekday office  hours: you can only utilize this voucher on a Sunday. There are 8 Sundays available during the period of redemption (6 May to 24 June).

If you have your off days on weekdays: then you have more days to use this voucher! Any week day is good to use.

2. Price:

For a 1 hour session : S$5  + S$5 per extra drink ordered

For a 2 hour session: S$10 + S$5 per extra drink ordered

For a 3 hour session: S$15 + S$5 per extra drink ordered

For a 4 hour session: S$20 + S$5 per extra drink ordered

Also, we also found out from our deal partner, Whee.com.sg that this deal comes with

- no GST for the extra hours and drinks

Did you know that different wines go well with different types of food?

Cabernet Sauvignon – Do not pair well with spicy food. However, it is better to pair it with milder spices. Classic pairings would be with a pepper-crusted ahi tuna or with a steak au poivre.

Halal 2012 was successfully held at Singapore Expo over the weekend of 16- 18 March 2012 and All Deals Asia is proud to be the one of the major sponsor for the fair’s lucky draw.
